James , 5th High Steward of Scots was born in 1243 in of Scotland. James , 5th High Steward of Scots' father was Alexander Stewart and his mother was Jean MacCrory. His paternal grandparents were Walter Stewart and Beatrix Gilchrist De ANGUS; his maternal grandparents were James MacCrory and Ragnhild de L'Isle. He had a brother and a sister, named John and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 66 in 1309.
