Olaf II Godredson was born in 1086 in Isle Of Man.1 Olaf II Godredson's father was Godfrey King of Man. His paternal grandmother was Mrs. Harald 1020 Of Islay. He was an only child. He died at the age of 67 on June 29th, 1153 in Isle Of Man.1 General Notes

The third (1986) edition of the Royal Historical Society's Handbook of British Chronology' says Olaf I was the son of Godred I (Croven) who ruled from 1079-95. Godred was perhaps the son of Harald the Black of Ysland and has been conjectured to be the grandson of Godred son of Harold who was probably the ruler of Man in 979.
