Pinkney Green was born on May 14th, 1863 in Lawrence County, Indiana. Pinkney Green's father was Andrew J. Zike and his mother was Martha L. Moore. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Zike and Mary Dianna Baugh; his maternal grandparents were John Moore and Rachel Lemonds. He had three brothers and five sisters, named William Harvey, Joseph Alexander, Samuel Howard, Nancy Malinda, America Alice, Margarett Jane, Martha Susan and Myrtel Edna. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 63 on January 22nd, 1927. He was buried in Clover Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, Indiana.-
