William W. Shields

William W. was born about 1831 in Indiana.  William W.'s father was D. W. Shields and his mother was Nancy Agnes Snoddy.  His paternal grandparents were William L., Sr. Shields and Nancy Elizabeth Nash. He had four brothers and five sisters, named John T., Joseph L., Samuel L., Barton M., Mary S., Nancy J., Susanna J., Julia A. and Angeline A..  He was the third oldest of the ten children.
