Clarence Shields 
Clarence was born on November 23rd, 1912 in Monroe County, Indiana. Clarence's father was Benjamin W. Shields and his mother was Bertha Hyde. His paternal grandparents were Isaac Shields and Izella Todd. He had three brothers and three sisters, named James E., Robert H., Benjamin "Bennie", Beatrice, Jennie and Helen. He was the third oldest of the seven children.-
