Herschell was born on March 4th, 1924 in Polk Twp., Monroe Co., Indiana. Herschell's father was John Perry Eads and his mother was Nancy Ann Martin. His paternal grandparents were Peter Eads and Sarah A.( Nuckles) Knockolls; his maternal grandparents were James Martin and Elizabeth Sipes. He had nine brothers and four sisters, named Clarence, Cecil, Ezra Ellis, Clifford R., Marshall P., Aaron Ray, Persing, Dewey, John, Lula, Mary E., Eunice Mae and Ella. He died at the age of 53 on April 17th, 1977 in Bloomington Hospital, Bloomington, Monroe Co., Indiana. He was buried in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Monroe Co., Indiana.General Notes

Funeral services for Hershell Eads, 53, of R. 1, Heltonville, who
died Sunday at the Bloomington Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at
the Day Mortuary with the Rev. Morton Thomas officiating.
He was born March 4, 1924, in Monroe County, the son of John and
Nancy (Martin) Eads. He attended Chapel Hill Pentecostal Church and
worked as a mechanic at the Maple Hill Stone Company. He was a former
Polk Township trustee.
Surviving are the wife, Maxine (Smith); one son, Ralph of R. 1,
Heltonville; three brothers, Cecil Eads of R. 8, Bloomington, Marshall of
R. 5, Bloomington, and clifford of R. 4, Bloomington; three sisters, Ella
Teeter of Florida, Lula Sowders of Jeffersonville and May Chandler of R.
13, Bloomington; and two grandchildren.
Burial will be at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the
