John Hix 
John's father was William Hix and his mother was Hannah Garrad\Jarrett. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Hicks and Melvina Cole; his maternal grandfather was David Jacob Garrad\Jarrett. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named David, Joseph Stephen, Ellis, Achilles, Thomas, William, Jesse, Elizabeth and Mary.
