Ahas Hix Sr 
Ahas was born about 1809 in Kanawha Co,WV. Ahas' father was David Hix and his mother was Mildred Huddleston. His paternal grandparents were William Hix and Hannah Garrad\Jarrett. He had five brothers named George, Achilles, Merritt, David and John. He was the second oldest of the six children. He died after 1880 in Putnam Co,WV.
Ahas and Rebecca were married in a religious ceremony in July 1830 in Kanawha Co,WV. They had three sons and two daughters, named James Bradford, Ahas A., Wellington Benton, Emeline and Roxalena E..
