Harry Ernest was born on May 8th, 1907 in Weyuawega,Waupaca County,WI. Harry Ernest's father was Clarence Elmer Guthu and his mother was Elvina "Ella" Erdman. His paternal grandparents were Simon Peder Guthu and Hellen Bennett. He had two sisters named Sylvia Marie and Lucille Helen. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 1 on January 28th, 1909 in Manawa,Waupaca County,WI..General Notes
From his oldest sister, Sylvia Schulz:
"He died at age 2 1/2 from spinal meningitis. He died that same evening; we were playing in the afternoon. When he died, we had to get out; my mother needed to have some time off. That's when we moved to Waupaca. I went to kindergarten through my first year of high school at Waupaca."
