Mathilda was born in 1032 in Flanders,France.  Mathilda's father was Baldwin V Baudouin de Lille DE FLANDRES and her mother was Adelisa Adele or Alix of France D'AUXERRRE.  Her paternal grandparents were Baldwin IV Baudouin IV DE FLANDRES and Ogive or Otgiva DE LUXEMBOURG; her maternal grandparents were Robert II the Pious and Rosella Suzanna. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Baldwin Baudouin VI I, Robert I IVthe Frisian, Gilbert, Judith and Judith.  She died at the age of 51 on November 2nd, 1083 in Caen.  She was buried in Holy Trinity Abbey,Caen.


Mathilda's family with William I the Conqueror DE NORMANDY

‌Mathilda and William I the Conqueror were married in a religious ceremony on June 21st, 1051.  They had four sons and seven daughters, named Richard, Robert II Curthose, William II Rufus, Henry I Beauclerc, Agatha, Cecily, Adela, Adeliza, Matilda, Gundred the Fleming and Constance.
