Gundred the Fleming was born about 1063 in Normandy,France.  Gundred the Fleming's father was William I the Conqueror DE NORMANDY and her mother was Mathilda DE FLANDRES.  Her paternal grandparents were Robert I II DE NORMANDY and Arlette Herleva Harlette DE FALAISE FULBERT; her maternal grandparents were Baldwin V Baudouin de Lille DE FLANDRES and Adelisa Adele or Alix of France D'AUXERRRE. She had four brothers and six sisters, named Richard, Robert II Curthose, William II Rufus, Henry I Beauclerc, Agatha, Cecily, Adela, Adeliza, Matilda and Constance.  She was the third youngest of the eleven children.  She died on May 27th, 1085 in Castle Acre,Norfolk,England.  She was buried in Priory of Lewes,Lewes,Sussex,England.
