William Russell 
William was born in 1845 in Ohio.1 William's father was Samuel Russell and his mother was Mary Irwin. His paternal grandparents were John Russell and Hannah "Patience" Rankin. He had three brothers and three sisters, named James, Samuel F, John, Susan, Ellen and Martha. He was the youngest of the seven children.-
