John Russell 
John was born on December 15th, 1743 in Shenandoah County, Virginia.1 John's father was Jeffrey Russell and his mother was Elizabeth Wood. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Mark, Isaac, Jeffrey, Jane, Sarah, Russell, Elizabeth and Hannah. He died at the age of 78 on November 28th, 1822 in Aid Township, Lawrence County, Ohio. Resided in Mecklenburg County, Virginia as late as 1789 then moved to Lawrence, Ohio.

Russell, dec'd vs. Samuel Russell, William Rus sell, Sanders Russell, Thomas Russell, James Russell, George Irvin and his wife, Elizabeth, William Nelson and Jane, his wife, Abner Dilley and Anneida his wife, Elizabeth Jane infant heir of John and Anne Compton representative of said Anne deceased, Virginia infant heir of Jeremiah Russell, dec'd representative of Jeremiah, John Russell, Lawrence Russell, Rachel Robuck, Elizabeth Robuck and Esther Russell. John and Hannah "Patience" were married in a religious ceremony in 1801.1 They had ten sons and eight daughters, named Samuel, James Samuel, Sanders, Thomas Jefferson, Francis(Frank), William, Jeremiah, John, Lawrence, Manoah B., Ginsey Jane, Armilda, Anna, Elizabeth, Elizabeth Jemima, Esther, Jemima Elizabeth and Rachel.

Ginsey Jane Russell
Ginsey Jane was born on December 27th, 1812 in Green Briar County, Virginia.1 She died at the age of 91 on March 6th, 1904 in Elkins Creek, Aid Township, Lawrence County, Ohio.1

Francis(Frank) was born on December 5th, 1814 in Cabell County, West Virginia.1 He died at the age of 51 on September 28th, 1866 in Getaway, Lawrence County, Ohio.1
Armilda Russell
