William J Rankin 
William J was born on October 21st, 1827.1 William J's father was Armstrong Rankin and his mother was Hannah Dilley. His maternal grandparents were Jr. Dilley John and Elizabeth Ackland aka Eckland. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named Hiram, John, James Louden, Thompson, Barnett, Mary Polly, Penina, Sarah Ann, Asbernia, Mahalia, Matilda and Diana A. He was the sixth oldest of the thirteen children.-
