Barnett Rankin

Barnett was born on November 15th, 1837.¹ Barnett's father was Armstrong Rankin and his mother was Hannah Dilley. His maternal grandparents were Jr. Dilley John and Elizabeth Ackland aka Eckland. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named Hiram, John, William J, James Louden, Thompson, Mary Polly, Penina, Sarah Ann, Asbernia, Mahalia, Matilda and Diana A. He was the second youngest of the thirteen children.
