James Alfred Garfield Markin 
James Alfred Garfield was born on October 31st, 1881 in Ironton, Lawrence County, Ohio.1 James Alfred Garfield's father was Cornelius Singleton Markin and his mother was Eliza Jane Glandon. His paternal grandparents were James M. Markin and Elizabeth (Betsey) Blankenship; his maternal grandparents were John Glandon and Theodocia Runion. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Loudon Francisco, Joseph Jackson, Dempsey Ellen, Mary Alice, Minnie Ivan, Myrtle Dell, Annie Hestella E, Chloe Lucretia and Baby Girl. He was the third youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 78 on January 26th, 1960 in Stewart County, Tennessee.1 -
