James Dilley 
James was born in 1810 in Greenbriar County, West Virginia.1 James' father was Jr. Dilley John and his mother was Elizabeth Ackland aka Eckland. His paternal grandparents were Sr. Dilley John and Catherine Himpin; his maternal grandfather was Christian Ackland aka Eckland. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Joseph A, Barnett, Abner, Bird, Hannah, Peninah, Elizabeth, Anna, Catherine and Diana. He was the fifth youngest of the eleven children.
James and Delilah were married in a religious ceremony on January 7th, 1830 in Lawrence County, Ohio.1 They had two sons and six daughters, named Washington Tracy, James Vinton, Mary Ann, Hester Ann, Sarah Amanda, Elizabeth, Julia Ann and Arvilla.
James and Susannah were married in a religious ceremony in 1849.1 They had two sons and a daughter, named James B, William and Lucinda.
