Harriett Elizabeth Allen 
Harriett Elizabeth was born on January 18th, 1870.1 Harriett Elizabeth's father was John Lee Allen and her mother was Charity Ella Dilley. Her paternal grandparents were William H. Allen and Lucretia Alford; her maternal grandparents were Abner Dilley and Armilda Russell. She had four brothers and three sisters, named William Carr, Frank Dilley, Albert Newton, Ethan Lee, Mildred Jane (Armilda), Martha Louella and Anna Bydrsley. She was the second oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 67 in 1937 in Council Grove, Kansas.1 General Notes

Harriett died of a heart attack
She was trained as a nurse and also taught school.
Their wedding was very large and the other girls said it was so much work they didn't want one like it.
