John Yocum 
John was born in 1747 in Hardy Co, VA.1 John's father was Mathias Yoakum and his mother was Elinor See. His paternal grandparents were Francis Jochem and Millie Felty; his maternal grandparents were George Ludwig Zeh and Margaret Tschudi. He had eleven brothers named Francis, Jacob, Felty, Valentine, Mathias, Jesse, Michael, Conrad, William, Henry and George. He was the fourth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 92 on September 4th, 1839 in Clay Co, IN.1 General Notes
