Mathias Yoakum 
Mathias was born about 1705 in New Amsterdam, NY.1 Mathias' father was Francis Jochem and his mother was Millie Felty. His paternal grandfather was Mathias Jochem. He had six brothers named John, Jacob, Conrad, Felty, George and Valentine. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died on July 15th, 1763 in Muddy Creek, Greenbrier Co, VA.1 General Notes
