George Yocum

George was born in 1784.¹ George's father was John Yocum and his mother was Mary (Yocum). His paternal grandparents were Mathias Yoakum and Elinor See. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Robert, Francis M, William, Jacob Preston, John H, Susannah, Eleanor, Mary, Nancy and Sarah. He was the third youngest of the eleven children.
