George Strother 
George was born about 1723 in ,Hannover, Virginia.1 George's father was Francis STROTHER and his mother was Susannah Dabney. His paternal grandparents were William Strother and Margaret Thornton; his maternal grandparents were John Dabney and Sarah Jennings. He had five brothers and five sisters, named John Dabney, Anthony, William, Robert, Francis, Margaret, Mary, Behethland, Elizabeth and Susanna. He was the third oldest of the eleven children.-
