Francis STROTHER 
Francis was born about 1698 in ,Hannover, Virginia.1 Francis' father was William Strother and his mother was Margaret Thornton. His paternal grandparents were William Strother and Dorothy Savage; his maternal grandparents were Francis Thornton and Alice Savage. He had three brothers and two sisters, named William, Benjamin, Anthony, Mary and Ann. He was the second oldest of the six children. He died in 1752 in ,,Virginia.1 General Notes

child born 1738. " Log Cabins", p. 288 says Francis gave slaves to son
William upon his death in 1752.
