Wilis Burton Powell

Wilis Burton was born on March 21st, 1858 in MO.¹   Wilis Burton's father was Jacob POWELL and his mother was Sarah Emily Melvin.  His maternal grandparents were Thomas Melvin and Nancy Melvin. He had six brothers and seven sisters, named WILLIS Burton, Robert Lee, Andrew Jackson, David, Andrew Jackson, Harry, Sarah, Sarah, Alice, Jennie Linn, Nannie Catherine, Nannie Catherine and Helen.  He was the fourth oldest of the fourteen children. He had two half-brothers named John T. and George W..  He died at the age of 85 on January 29th, 1944.¹
