William Atchley Maples

William Atchley was born in 1822 in Tennessee.¹   William Atchley's father was Jesse Maples and his mother was Jemimah.  His paternal grandparents were Josiah Maples and Ruthea Sweeney. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Alexander Preston, Americus Bonaparte, James Gunter, Anderson, Martha, Rachel and Sarah.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He had two half-brothers named ANDERSON and Andrew Jackson.  He died at the age of 34 in 1856 in Arkansas.¹
