Alexander Preston Maples 
Alexander Preston was born in 1816 in Sevier Co., Tennessee.1 Alexander Preston's father was Jesse Maples and his mother was Jemimah. His paternal grandparents were Josiah Maples and Ruthea Sweeney. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Americus Bonaparte, James Gunter, William Atchley, Anderson, Martha, Rachel and Sarah. He was the oldest of the eight children. He had two half-brothers named ANDERSON and Andrew Jackson.
