Robert LAYNE 
Robert was born on July 11th, 1759 in ,St James Parish, Goochland, Virginia and his baptism took place there on February 17th, 1760.1 Robert's father was Ayres LAYNE and his mother was Mary WOODSON. His maternal grandparents were Robert III WOODSON and Rebecca PRYOR. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Frederick, Tarlton, John, Woodson, Lewis, Benjamin Woodson, George, Sally, Elizabeth (Betty) (Betsy) and Mary Polly. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 85 on April 12th, 1845.1 -
