Eunice was born about 1757 in ,Spotsylvania, Virginia.1 Eunice's father was Anthony Gholson and her mother was Mary Sandridge. Her paternal grandparents were Anthony GHOLSON SR. and Jane Hawkins; her maternal grandparents were William SANDRIDGE and Ann PULLIAM PULLAM. She had eight brothers and five sisters, named Anthony, William, Frederick, John, John, Joseph, Dabney, William, Sarah, Ann, Mary, Elizabeth and Susannah. She was the third youngest of the fourteen children.-
