Charles B was born on November 18th, 1834 in Philadelphi, Marion, Mo.1 Charles B's father was Tarlton Lee CRANE and his mother was Mary Elizabeth "Polly" BEEDLE. His paternal grandparents were Thomas CRAINE and Theodocia Ann LEE. He had fifteen brothers and three sisters, named George Miller, Thomas Jackson, Zachary Taylor, Robert, William C, King, James, John, Richard H, Calvin, Joel, Silas Harland, Carey Carrie Allen, Nelson Lee "Little Doc", Joseph Lafon, Elizabeth L, Mitilda Porter and Theodosia. He was the fourth youngest of the nineteen children. He died at the age of 5 on April 10th, 1840 in Philadelphia, Marion, Missouri. He was buried on April 12th, 1840 in Terrillpowell Cem.
