John Bowie 
John was born about 1708 in "Brookewood (a Bowie estate)", Nottingham district, Prince George's Co., MD.1 John's father was John Bowie and his mother was Mary Mullikin. His paternal grandparents were Jonathan Bowy and Jane Smith; his maternal grandparents were James Mulligan and Jane Prather. He had four brothers and two sisters, named James, Allen, Thomas, William, Eleanor and Mary. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died about February 5th, 1753 in "Thorpland", Prince Georges Co., MD.1 General Notes
