Thomas Best

Thomas was born about 1756 in Marlin, NC.¹   Thomas' father was Thomas BEST and his mother was Mary Ann Jones.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas BEST and Sarah Jane Alexander; his maternal grandfather was Lewelling GRIMES. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Henry, William, Sarah, Amy and Mary.  He was the oldest of the six children.  He died in 1820.¹
