Henry Best

Henry was born about 1762 in Marlin, NC.¹   Henry's father was Thomas BEST and his mother was Mary Ann Jones.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas BEST and Sarah Jane Alexander; his maternal grandfather was Lewelling GRIMES. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, William, Sarah, Amy and Mary.  He was the third oldest of the six children.
