Lydia was born on July 9th, 1769 in Lancaster Co., PA.  Lydia's father was Henry Slaymaker and her mother was Faithful Richardson.  Her paternal grandparents were Mathias Schleiermacher and Catharine Schiebel. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Amos, Henry, Samuel, Mary, Hannah, Faithful, Sarah and Sophia.  She was the fourth youngest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 25 on September 20th, 1794 in Mount Pleasant, Delaware Co., PA.
