William Steer

William was born before 1805 and his baptism took place on November 22nd, 1805 in Modbury Devon.¹   William's father was Francis Grills Sture and his mother was Mary Ann Morgan.  His paternal grandparents were George Sture and Agnes Grills. He had four brothers and five sisters, named George, Francis, Peter, Robert, Biddy, Agnes, Mary, Elizabeth and Nancy.  He was the second youngest of the ten children.
