Sarah Jane Steer 
Sarah was born about 1845 in Bigbury Devon.1 Sarah's father was William Steer and her mother was Elizabeth Ash. Her paternal grandparents were George Steer and Ann Haynes. She had a brother and five sisters, named James, Elizabeth, Margaret, Maria, Mary and Caroline. She was the third youngest of the seven children.-
