Sarah Steer

Sarah was born before 1806 and her baptism took place on March 17th, 1806 in Kingsbridge, Devon.¹   Sarah's father was Edmund Sture and her mother was Sarah Grills (of Charleton).  Her paternal grandparents were Philip Sture and Mary Whiteway (of Harberton ). She had three brothers and five sisters, named Philip, Edmund, John, Mary, Mary, Elizabeth, Ann and Alice.  She was the third oldest of the nine children.
