Mark was born in 1869 and his baptism took place on April 25th, 1869 in Rudgwick, Sussex.1  Mark's father was George Steer and his mother was Miriam Dinale.  His paternal grandparents were John Steer and Eliza steer. He had four brothers and six sisters, named George, William, Walter, Edward, Eliza, Miriam, Rhoda, Kate, Alice and Ellen.  He was the second youngest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 1 in 1870.  He was buried on August 3rd, 1870 in Rudgwick, Sussex.2
