Ellen was born in 1870 and her baptism took place on August 9th, 1870 in Rudgwick, Sussex.1  Ellen's father was George Steer and her mother was Miriam Dinale.  Her paternal grandparents were John Steer and Eliza steer. She had five brothers and five sisters, named George, William, Walter, Edward, Mark, Eliza, Miriam, Rhoda, Kate and Alice.  She was the youngest of the eleven children.  She died in 1870.  She was buried on September 12th, 1870 in Rudgwick, Sussex.1
