Henry STEERS 
Henry was born on February 16th, 1741 in Hoxton, London, Middlesex.. Henry's father was William STEER and his mother was Susannah KENT. His paternal grandparents were John STEER and Elizabeth YOUNG. He had five brothers and five sisters, named John William, Charles, William, Edward, James, Elizabeth, Sophia, Anna Maria, Martha and Susanna. Parish Register of St Leonard Shoreditch: Baptism 6 March 1741,Henry son of William & Susanna STEERS, of Hoxton, born February6.On 26 April 1745 the Parsonage at Westerham, with 30 acres and afish pond was advertised for sale by William Steers at Hoxton(address of the Doctor) and later Henry Steers broker ofFenchurch Street, son of the Doctor. He later went bankrupt inMay 1778 and in 1780 took over his father's business at theMedicine Warehouse. Henry Steers was still advertising for salethe Parsonage at Westerham in 1758 and in 1760 was itsProprietor. The Parsonage at Westerham was re-advertised severaltimes over the next two years. On 25 September 1760 a list ofLondon brokers included Henry Steers of Amen Corner. Dr WilliamSteers was at Amen Corner on 28 May 1765. Henry Steers of AmenCorner was on a similar list of brokers on 14 Feb 1772.On 14 May 1778 Henry Steers now or late of Arundel Street, wasdeclared bankrupt. A certificate was granted on 13 July 1778 toHenry Steers of Arundel St. On 18 July 1778 Dr Steers Medicineswere advertised by Henry Steers. His father William had died athis home in Charterhouse Square on 1 February 1777. On 20 April1780 Henry Steers had taken over his father's MedicineWarehouse, which on 14 December 1782 was moved from CharingCross to 10 Old Bond Street (also listed in a 1794 Directory).Henry Steers gent of Chiswick wrote his will on 4 December 1807,expressing deep affection to his family and appointing asexecutors his wife Sarah Steers and his brother Edward Steers ofthe Inner Temple. The will was proved on 8 September 1813.Buried at Chiswick St Nicholas 11 August 1813 Henry Steers ofHammersmith age 71.Beneficiary to his mothers Will made 1785 and proved 1798.Beneficiary of the Will of Peter WARREN made 1809 and proved1812.Henry Steers gent of Chiswick wrote his will on 4 December 1807,expressing deep affection to his family and appointing asexecutors his wife Sarah Steers and his brother Edward Steers ofthe Inner Temple.
