The Parsonage atWesterham was re-advertised several times over the next twoyears. On 25 September 1760 a list of London brokers includedHenry Steers of Amen Corner. Dr William Steers was at AmenCorner on 28 May 1765. Henry Steers of Amen Corner was on asimilar list of brokers on 14 Feb 1772. I think that this Henrywas the son of William Steers of Hoxton, as the older Henry(William's brother) died in May 1772.Beneficiary of his sister Elizabeth's Will made 1761 and proved1767.Witness to the marriage of his daughter Elizabeth in 1769.Executor of his sister Mary's Will in 1770.Named Executor with Alexander Puxty and beneficary of his sisterSarah's Will made in 1770 but died before it was proved in 1781.Parish Register of All Saints, Edmonton: Burial 7 February 1777,William STEERS.William Steers Doctor in Physick of Nightingal Hall EdmontonMiddlesex wrote his will on 9 February 1769, appointing his wifeas sole executrix, to sell the copyhold to Nightingal Hall andinvest the money in stocks and after her decease the money to bedivided among his (eleven) children; Susanna, Elizabeth, Sophia,Anna Maria, Martha, Henry, John William, Charles, William,Edward, & James, As Anna Maria's life annuity was much more thanthe others, she was to receive £400 less than the others. Acodicil was added on 12 September 1771 noting that as hisdaughter Elizabeth had died, her only son John Willing Warrenwas entitled to his mother's share of my fortune equally with mychildren. On 14 February 1777 an affidavit confirming thevalidity of the codicil was signed by John Tysoe Reade andAnthony Eyles. The will was proved on 19 February 1777 bySusannah Steers, widow and relict.
