Elizabeth Steers of Westerham Kent widow wrote her will on 14October 1739; proved 14 July 1742; to her son William £100; toher daughter Elizabeth £100; to her daughter Mary £50 and thesilver porringer & silver spoon marked EY; to daughter Sarah£100; to son in law Alexander Puxty and his wife Martha £30; toeldest son Henry (executor) all her messuages tenements landstithes hereditaments goods chattels & personal estate; restdivided between two sons Henry & William and four daughters,Elizabeth, Mary, Anne, Sarah. The will was proved on 14 July1742 by Elizabeth Steers spinster the sister and attorney ofHenry Steers son of deceased and her executor, now residing inLisbon in Portugal.
