  Parish Register of St Leonard Shoreditch: Baptism 8 August 1754,Edward son of William & Susanna STEERES, Hoxton, born July 23.Executor to his mothers Will made 1785 and proved 1798 withbrothers John William and Charles, also a beneficiary.Executor and beneficiary of his brother Charles Will made 1807and proved in 1810.Joint executor and beneficiary of the Will of Peter WARREN hisbrother in law made 1809 and proved 1812.Executor to his brother Henry's Will made 1807 and proved 1813.Joint executor and beneficiary of his brother James Will made1811 and proved 1817.He died on 8 March 1827 at the Inner Temple London. EdwardSteers Esq of the Inner Temple wrote his will on 4 May 1823appointing as his executors, his nephew John Willing Warren ofPowis Place and John Mortimer of Blackheath, each to have £200.John Mortimer had died before 8 November 1824 so his brotherEdward Mortimer was appointed in his place. He left £6000 to hisniece Harriet Steers now residing with his sisters in PowisPlace; and £5000 to his nephew John Willing Warren. He left £100each to his sisters Susanna, Sophia and Anna Maria and hisbrother John William. In a codicil dated 17 May 1823 he left£600 to Mary Siblett of North St Portsea; £600 to his nieceHarriet Steers; £100 to Mary Eleanor Thompson widow of CharlesThompson; £50 to laundress Mary Rawlings. On 24 May 1827 anaffidavit was sworn by Roger Mortimer and Charles Smith Mortimerof Shorter's Court Throgmorton Street London. The will wasproved on 24 March 1827 by nephew John Willing Warren and EdwardMortimer.
