Beneficiary of the Will of Susannah STEERS (wife of late UncleWilliam) made 1785 and proved 1798 with her mother and sisterCharlotte Augusta THOMPSON..Anna Amelia Steers spinster of Sloane Square Chelsea wrote herwill on 29 February 1820 appointing as her executors JamesBaillie & John Willing Warren, who proved the will on 24 October1822. Her residuary legatee was her nephew Marmaduke Thompson(the son of her sister Charlotta Augusta) to whom she left allher property. She made small gifts of £50 to (her spinstercousins) Mrs Susanna Steers; Mrs Sophia Steers and Mrs MariaSteers; Mrs Anna Maria Clarke; £100 to her nephew GeorgeMiddleton Thompson; £50 to Alexander Sutherland to buy books forHenrietta Sutherland to whom she left £500, her wearing apparel,trinkets, house linen, plate, furniture, "provided she hasmarried with my consent". Anna Amelia Steers was buried inHastings All Saints on 1 Oct 1822.
