Albert was born about 1878 in Bromley Kent.1   Albert's father was George STEERS and his mother was Eliza STEERS. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Thomas, Edward, Isabella, Emma, Eliza, Ada, Emma and Maud.  He was the fifth oldest of the nine children.
