Mary A was born about 1858 in Bovey Tracey Devon.1   Mary A's father was Joseph STEER and her mother was Mary STEER. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Nicholas, William, Ada C, Bessey and Florrie.  She was the second oldest of the six children.
