Albert E was born about 1875 in Thorpe, Yorkshire.1   Albert E's father was Thomas STEER and his mother was Emma Sanderson.  His maternal grandfather was Ambrose SANDERSON and his maternal grandmother is <Unknown>. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, Thomas, Joseph H, Harriett and Hannah.  He was the third youngest of the six children.
