Fanny was born about 1860 in Stockport, Cheshire.1   Fanny's father was Joseph STEARS and her mother was Jane STEARS. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Josiah, John, Joseph, Ann and Maria.  She was the youngest of the seven children.
