Agnes was born about 1874 in Stratford, Essex.1   Agnes' father was Thomas STEARS and her mother was Eliza STEARS. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Arthur, Charle, Bertie, Joseph, Amelia and Alice.  She was the fourth youngest of the eight children.
