Edna Charlotte was born about 1909 in St Austell Cornwall.1   Edna Charlotte's father was Benjamin Tamar STEAR and her mother was Harriet Jane STEAR. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Thamas Tamar, George Charles, Leslie Robert, Albert Clarence, Lionel, Alice Maude and Olave Margeret.  She was the second youngest of the eight children.
