Joseph was born on August 14th, 1728.1   Joseph's father was John Goad and his mother was Elizabeth Walker.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Goad and Hannah Atkinson. He had a brother and four sisters, named Thomas, Sarah, Hannah, Elizabeth and Elizabeth.  He was the second oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 30 on May 18th, 1759.1
